Panthera Tigris tigris,  2021

Mixed media on paper

8 x 10 inches (with frame) - Small format

This is the skull of a male Bengal Tiger. In an attempt to study the anatomy of this magnificent feline, I arrived at this. This is to remind us that even though the tiger population has improved in recent years, the fight to conserve them isn't over as yet. It's also considered to be a symbol of protection in countries such as China and Japan. And in any form of representation, it's believed to ward off harm and bad luck.
